We are now seeking an experienced Accountant (Accounts Payable) to join our Finance team and support our ongoing growth.
About the Role
This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely financial processing and reporting. You will be responsible for accounts payable activities, balance sheet reconciliations, budget support, and management reporting, while working closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, and vendors.
This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys both transactional finance and broader reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare payments in line with agreed payment schedules
Verify and process invoices in SAP
Maintain and update the vendor master database
Ensure weekly and monthly reporting deadlines are met
Prepare and review allocated balance sheet reconciliations
Review standard costing entries and analyse appropriateness
Support budget management and cost control processes
Assist departments with budget tracking and financial queries
Prepare monthly and quarterly management packs and cost centre reports
Assist with annual budgeting and business planning
Support business process improvements and project work
Assist with internal and external audits
Provide ad‑hoc reporting and financial analysis as required
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (preferred)
2–3 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Approachable and confident when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to identify and support improvements in finance processes
A proactive, positive “can‑do” attitude
SAP experience desirable
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
