We are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Tax Accountant to join our Finance team.



About the Role

This role is ideal for a graduate or early career accountant who is eager to build strong technical foundations in tax and financial accounting. You will provide key support across tax compliance, reporting, and month end activities while gaining exposure to broader finance operations within a dynamic, fast paced organisation.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for tax work, including BAS, FBT, Corporate Income Tax, CbCR, APA, and ACR

  • Assist with tax compliance and reporting requirements

  • Liaise with internal departments to collect data for tax calculations

  • Support month end closing and financial reporting

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in a timely manner

  • Support reporting to Head Office in line with agreed timetables

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and identify risks or opportunities

  • Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting

  • Support the implementation of best practice financial controls and reporting automation

  • Liaise with tax authorities and external accounting firms

  • Support general financial accounting tasks and ad hoc analysis as required

  • Stay informed on industry trends and changes in tax legislation



About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

  • 1–3 years’ experience in accounting or tax (preferred but not essential)

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A proactive, approachable, and team focused attitude

  • Strong time management skills with a “can do” mindset

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • SAP experience desirable

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
