About the Role:
The Critical Asset Specialist plays an integral role, in being responsible for the expert management and optimisation of CDC’s critical infrastructure asset portfolio. This role applies advanced technical knowledge of electrical/mechanical assets, understanding how they operate and interact, to influence compliance, and lifecycle performance.
A core function of the role is interpreting detailed electrical and mechanical single-line diagrams, validating asset configurations, and ensuring maintenance strategies accurately reflect real system behaviour. The Specialist maintains technically accurate, complete, and risk‑aligned asset information within the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS).
By combining deep system expertise with strong analytical capability, the Critical Asset Specialist delivers high‑quality asset data, optimised maintenance plans, and meaningful insights that strengthen operational resilience and long‑term infrastructure reliability.

About you:
The ideal candidate combines a dedicated hands-on knowledge of complex electrical/mechanical systems (ideally from within a critical infrastructure setting), with a detail-focused and technically-minded nature. With a sound understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, as well as Australian compliance and regulatory standards, the successful candidate will be comfortable working both autonomously and under pressure, within a dynamic environment.
Essential:
Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
