Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Fitter to join our team in Brisbane.

In this position, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, servicing and repairing mechanical faults on generators, compressors, welders, lighting towers and engines, trailers and associated equipment across both workshop and field environments. Some travel may be required.

Position Duties

  • Conduct inspections and diagnose mechanical faults on diesel generators and auxiliary equipment

  • Perform routine servicing, overhauls, and repairs of plant and equipment

  • Undertake complex fault-finding and problem solving

  • Carry out on-site project installations and commissioning activities

  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records

  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture

  • Participate in on-call breakdown roster when available

About You

  • Hold relevant mechanical trade qualifications (Diesel Fitting or equivalent)

  • Industrial diesel engine experience required

  • Previous power generation experience highly regarded

  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic capability

  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work autonomously

  • Team-focused with a collaborative attitude

  • Results-driven and solution-oriented approach

  • Basic computer skills

  • Current driver's licence

  • Current construction industry White Card
