Racking Installer Leading Hand (FIFO)

We are currently seeking a FIFO Racking Installer / Leading Hand for our client who specialise in a variety of warehouse racking and other storage solutions to mining and health care industries. They manufacture and install mezzanine floors, automation systems, etc both in Perth metro and mine sites. Due to an influx of upcoming mining contracts and demand, they are looking to appoint a Leading Hand for their FIFO installations crew on a contract basis, with potential for extension. 
  
THE ROLE:
  
This position is a contract role, starting early July and finishing in October with a possibility of extension.
  
Your role as Leading Hand Installer will see you perform the following duties:
  

• Mezzanine and racking construction (Like a big LEGO set!)
• Customer service and liaising with clients on site
• Leading a small crew on mine site jobs operating hand and power tools
• Light computer related tasks
• Working at heights, rigging and dogging responsibilities

  
HOURS & PAY:
You will be employed on a FIFO Roster, working 12-hour dayshift only with travel allowance and food allowance ($70 p/day).
  
Hourly Site Rate: $75 FLAT
  
ABOUT YOU:
  
To be successful, you will ideally hold the following:

• Previous experience working in a construction environment (this could be erecting patios, fences, racking systems etc)
• Leading Hand / Supervisory experience (Mine site preferred)
• Current drivers licence
• Construction White Card
• Working at heights (Valid within 2 years)
• Rigging Ticket (Basic or Intermediate)
• Dogging Ticket
• Be able to pass a full pre-employment medical inc DAS
• Have a strong level of physical ability and good endurance levels as this role requires heavy lifting and a decent level of personal fitness
• Be a permanent resident of Australia with full working rights
