About the role

COATEX Painting is looking for an experienced painter to join the team.

We're not looking for someone who needs to be babysat. We're looking for someone who can think for themselves, follow instructions, show initiative and take pride in their work.

What we're looking for:

• Reliable – if you say you'll be there, you're there.
• Can actually paint to a high standard.
• Pays attention to detail and completes work properly.
• Uses common sense and solves problems instead of creating them.
• Takes responsibility and ownership of their work.
• Takes pride in themselves, their work and how they present.
• Good personal hygiene and professional attitude.
• Understands that clients judge our company by the people we send to their property.
• Shows up in company uniform every day.
• Gets along with clients and the team.

What won't work here:

• Constantly late or calling in sick.
• Ignoring instructions.
• Cutting corners.
• Thinking you're above the team.
• Poor communication.
• Poor attitude or ego.
• Not representing the company professionally.

Because we work closely as a team and regularly interact with clients, English is the primary language spoken on site during work hours so everyone stays informed, included and on the same page.

A note on pay:

Nobody starts at the top rate. Higher pay is earned through consistency, reliability, attitude, workmanship and loyalty over time.

If you show up every day, do quality work, communicate well, represent the company professionally and consistently meet the standards expected at COATEX, your pay will increase accordingly.

Don't come expecting top dollar after a week. We reward people who prove themselves over time, not people who talk a big game.
