We're currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Toll, working from a newly upgraded workshop in Melbourne's Western suburbs (Spotswood).
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering consistent day shifts, modern facilities, and a supportive, safety-first team environment.
About the role
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers, ensuring they are safe, compliant and ready for operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles and trailers
- Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic software
- Repair work including breakdown response when required
- Road testing vehicles to ensure safe operation
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior team members
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance (NHVAS)

About you
To be successful, you will bring:
- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics (essential)
- Experience working with heavy vehicles and fleet maintenance
- Exposure to brands such as Kenworth, Mercedes, Cummins (advantageous)
- HR licence (highly regarded)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
