About the role:
WA Limestone is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Perth-based maintenance team.
We're after someone who takes pride in their work, can think for themselves, and enjoys being part of a team that works well together.
We've built a workshop culture where people help each other out, the supervisors are approachable and supportive, and everyone is treated with respect. We work hard, have a laugh along the way, and understand that family comes first.
What You'll Be Working On
As part of the on-highway maintenance team, you'll be supporting WA Limestone's heavy haulage operations as well as assisting with the maintenance and repair of WA Premix's fleet.
Our fleet includes:
Volvo FH16
Kenworth K200, T909 and SAR
Mack Superliner, Titan and Metro-Liner
Scania G360XT
Isuzu 300/350 Series
UD Quon and Condor
Sitrak G5S
Cement agitator trucks
Drake platform trailers from 50-100 tonne
Drake dolly’s
Converter Dollys
End tipper and side tipper trailers
Flat deck trailers
Light vehicles including Toyota Hilux, Toyota Landcruiser, Toyota Prado, Isuzu D-Max and Ford Rangers.
No two days are the same, and you'll be working across a diverse fleet that keeps the job interesting.
Essential Requirements
HR Licence
C Class Manual Driver's Licence
Unrestricted working rights in Australia
Heavy Commercial Vehicle Repairer Trade Certificate or WA-recognised equivalent
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Strong hydraulic knowledge
Strong knowledge of air brake systems
Experience with end tipper and side tipper trailers
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Fluent English communication skills
Good attitude, reliability and common sense
Highly Desirable
Experience with Volvo, Kenworth, Mack, Isuzu, UD and Sitrak heavy vehicles
Experience maintaining and repairing cement agitator trucks
Knowledge of and experience working on Cesco and Mixers Australia agitator systems
