Industrial Electrician (Automation)

A mainly Monday-Friday role with great pay and the chance to excel your controls/PLC skills.

3 week rotating roster, no weekend work, over 200 days off a year with OT available.

The roster & hours

• 12-hour shifts: 6am–6pm (Days) / 6pm–6am (Nights), Monday–Friday average of 40 hours/week. Mainly no weekends! Great work-life balance.

• 3-week rotation:

  • Week 1: N – N – N – Off – Off

  • Week 2: D – D – Off – N – N

  • Week 3: Off – Off – D – D – D

Overtime: Available via additional shifts, breakdowns, call-ins, projects and shutdowns. OT rates: 1.5× for the first 2 hours, then 2× thereafter.

What you’ll be working on:

• PLCs (Siemens S7), HMIs, VSDs, AC/DC drives, SCADA/DCS.

• Palletising robots, high-speed packaging equipment, conveyors, changeovers, fine-tuning and upgrades.

• Mechanical work on VSDs, pneumatics, hydraulics.

• Mix of breakdown response, fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and capital upgrades/new installs.

About you:

1. A-Grade Electrical Licence

2. Mechanical aptitude, comfortable assisting with mechanical repairs/breakdowns.

3. Manufacturing/controls experience with strong fault-finding & troubleshooting. If you have worked with Industrial communication networks and have hands on experience then this is for you.

4. Attitude & autonomy, competent, curious, and happy working both solo and with the team.

Pay & benefits

Hourly rates including loadings is $60.63, ~ $126,110 + OT + Super.
