About ECP Polyurethanes

ECP Polyurethanes is an established Australian manufacturer known for supplying polyurethane-lined and steel-fabricated products to some of the world’s largest mining operations. We’re a close-knit team that takes pride in our work, and we’re looking for a skilled fabricator to help strengthen our fabrication shop.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows their craft and wants a stable position with the autonomy to make a real impact.

The Role

You’ll handle sheet metal fabrication and basic machining with a high level of autonomy. Working to schedule, you’ll maintain quality standards and bring the experience and discipline needed to keep the workshop running smoothly.

If you’re an experienced fabricator looking for a place to put down roots and be valued for what you know, this role offers exactly that.

What a typical day looks like:

• Work from drawings and schedules to complete fabrication tasks independently

• Perform sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, forming, welding, and finishing

• Carry out structural and pipe fabrication where required (experience dependent)

• Operate workshop machinery, including lathes, mills, and general fabrication equipment

• Inspect your work and maintain quality standards

• Identify process improvements and raise them with the team

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience:

•     Trade qualified – Certificate III in Metal Fabrication or equivalent

•     At least 5 years of hands-on fabrication experience

•     Confident and competent with GMAW/GTAW

•     Experience in sheet metal fabrication

•     Basic machining experience with a lathe, mill, or similar equipment

•     Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

•     Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively

•     Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset

The Mindset We’re After:

•     You take ownership of your work and don’t need close supervision

•     You follow schedules and consistently meet targets

•     You look for better ways to get the job done

•     You take initiative to improve a workshop that isn’t running at its best

•     You want stable, meaningful work where your experience is respected

What We Offer

•     Stable, long-term employment in a growing business

•     A supportive team that values experience and initiative

•     The opportunity to help shape how the fabrication shop operates

•     Consistent hours and a predictable schedule

•     Competitive pay based on experience

How to Apply

If this sounds like the right fit, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply through SEEK with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your fabrication background and what interests you about the role.

We’re looking for the right person, not just the right resume, so feel free to let your personality come through.
