Underpinning Trade Assistant

About the role

Urathane Solutions is seeking a Underpinning Trade Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This role offers casual work at full time 38 hours per week. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople to support the delivery of high-quality underpinning services to our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical skills in a specialist trade whilst maintaining schedule flexibility.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting qualified underpinning technicians with the preparation and setup of work sites

2. Supporting the installation and removal of underpinning equipment and materials

3. Helping to excavate, prepare and reinstate foundation areas under supervision

4. Assisting with the mixing, pouring and finishing of concrete and related materials

5. Carrying out general labouring duties including material handling, site cleanup and waste management

6. Following all health and safety procedures and site protocols

7. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order

8. Communicating effectively with the work team and reporting any issues promptly

What we're looking for

1. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions

2. A willingness to learn and develop practical skills in the underpinning trade

3. Basic understanding of health and safety practices on construction and trade sites

4. Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work

5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team

6. Good communication skills and the ability to take instruction

7. Previous experience in labouring, construction or a related trade is preferred

8. Must hold a full car licence with reliable transport

9. Must hold a current White Card at time of application

10. Australian citizenship is required for this position
