Yard Manager Surf Toyota

Surf Toyota is a high-volume Toyota dealership and we are looking for a driven, hands-on Yard Manager to take ownership of our busy sales yard operations.

This role is critical to the performance and presentation of the dealership. You will lead the yard team, maintain vehicle presentation standards, manage vehicle movements, and ensure every customer visiting the yard is engaged by our sales team.

This is a fully outdoor role, based in the yard 100% of the time, so you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and able to handle the physical demands of a busy dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the yard team to ensure all daily yard operations run smoothly

• Ensure vehicles are audited, accurate and updated across the entire yard

• Check all vehicle stickers, displays, and marketing materials are correct and presented professionally

• Manage vehicle locations, movements, and yard organisation to maximise efficiency

• Coordinate yard changes, vehicle rotations, and display updates

• Oversee stock control, including stocktaking and ensuring sufficient resources and materials are available

• Hold others accountable to dealership processes and ensure compliance

About You

• Previous automotive or dealership experience preferred

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Able to work outdoors full-time in varying weather conditions

• Confident managing people and maintaining process accountability

• A hands-on attitude with the ability to lead from the front
