Total Metering Services (TMS) is one of Australia's leading metering and field services providers, delivering critical services across Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Right now, we are entering the most significant growth phase in our company's history.

Over the next 12-18 months, TMS will be expanding its workforce at an unprecedented rate to support major energy infrastructure programs across Australia. To achieve this, we are establishing a dedicated Technician Recruitment Division and are looking for two exceptional recruiters who are driven, competitive, resilient and obsessed with finding great people.

This is not a role for someone who simply posts an advertisement and waits for applications.

This is a role for someone who actively hunts talent, builds networks, develops pipelines and delivers results.

The Opportunity

As a Technician Recruiter, you will take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for electrical, metering and field services personnel across Australia.

You will play a critical role in helping TMS achieve its ambitious growth objectives by identifying, engaging and securing high-quality technicians in an increasingly competitive market.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment where success will be measured by outcomes, not activity.

 

You will be expected to:

• Source, engage and recruit electricians, technicians and field service personnel.

• Build and maintain talent pools across multiple states.

• Proactively identify and approach passive candidates.

• Develop relationships with industry contacts, contractors and trade networks.

• Conduct candidate screening interviews and suitability assessments.

• Coordinate references, offers and onboarding processes.

• Maintain accurate recruitment reporting and pipeline data.

• Work closely with operational leaders to forecast workforce requirements.

• Contribute to workforce growth strategies and recruitment campaigns.

• Deliver against ambitious recruitment targets and KPIs.

 

What Success Looks Like

This role is not about filling one position every few weeks.

It is about building an entire workforce.

The successful candidates will be instrumental in helping TMS grow our field personnel over the coming years, supporting some of Australia's largest energy infrastructure programs.

About You

You are likely someone who:

• Has proven recruitment experience in a high-volume environment.

• Has experience recruiting within electrical, construction, infrastructure, trades, engineering or field services sectors.

• Enjoys making outbound calls and building relationships.

• Is comfortable approaching passive candidates.

• Has strong negotiation and influencing skills.

• Is highly organised and self-motivated.

• Thrives in a KPI-driven environment.

• Is resilient and does not give up easily.

• Enjoys working in a fast-moving and growing business.

• Wants to build a career rather than simply fill jobs.
