About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Manager to lead our Fire Service & Maintenance division. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a small team of fire technicians, ensuring compliance across all fire protection services, and driving operational and commercial performance.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality fire maintenance services, overseeing scheduling, quoting, compliance, and client relationships, while ensuring all works are completed to the highest safety and regulatory standards.

A critical part of this role is strong proficiency in Uptick fire maintenance software, ensuring accurate job tracking, compliance reporting, and operational efficiency across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support a small team of fire technicians

  • Oversee all scheduled and reactive fire maintenance works

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements

  • Manage daily job scheduling, workflow, and team productivity

  • Maintain full operational control of jobs within Uptick software

  • Ensure all asset data, service records, and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date

  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate quotations for maintenance and remedial works

  • Follow up and convert quotes into approved works

  • Act as the escalation point for technical and client service issues

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all worksites and staff


About You

You are a confident leader with strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems and service operations. You are highly organised, commercially aware, and comfortable managing both people and systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in fire protection service and maintenance (essential)

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience

  • Strong knowledge of fire compliance standards and service requirements

  • Experience using Uptick Fire Maintenance software is desirable

  • Strong quoting, estimating, and job costing ability

  • Excellent communication and client management skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and compliance focus


Desirable Qualifications

  • Fire Protection Accreditation or relevant trade qualification

  • Experience working with Australian Standards (e.g., AS1851, AS1670 and the like)

  • Previous experience in a Fire Manager or similar supervisory role

  • White Card

  • NT Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)

  • Working With Children Check / Ochre Card (or ability to obtain one)
