Trade Assistant - Workshop

Full Time | Monday–Friday | Day shift

Additional hours may be available from time to time.

We’re looking for a hands-on Trade Assistant to join our workshop team at Wetherill Park.

You’ll be supporting our painters, fitters and welders – helping keep production moving and making sure jobs are ready for the next stage. This is a workshop-based role supporting on-site manufacturing teams.

This role suits someone who is reliable, turns up consistently, and takes pride in doing a solid day’s work.

You’ll be working with a practical, hands-on team that backs each other and takes pride in getting the job done properly.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with spray painting preparation (masking, materials, clean-up)

• Packaging and preparing finished products for dispatch

• Supporting trades with materials handling and workflow

• Assisting with building packing boxes and wire products

• Using basic hand and power tools

• Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe

Manual handling is involved, so this role suits someone comfortable with practical, hands-on work.

You’ll do well in this role if you

• Have experience in a workshop, manufacturing or labouring role

• Are reliable and show up consistently

• Take pride in doing the job properly, not just getting it done

• Are physically fit and comfortable with manual work, including handling heavier products and team lifts

• Have a forklift licence (or are willing to obtain one)
