About the role
We are seeking experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Tradespeople to join our Maintenance Services – Shift Maintenance team at Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment where you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by delivering high-quality maintenance services and supporting the reliability of our operations. Key responsibilities include:
Performing all work in accordance with QAL's safety, environmental, and community standards, policies, and procedures.
Carrying out planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on a diverse range of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment, including high-voltage systems.
Diagnosing equipment faults and identifying effective repair solutions to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.
Undertaking installation, inspection, and maintenance activities within Hazardous Areas and Gas Systems.
Contributing to plant reliability and performance by identifying equipment failure trends, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Assisting in the development and enhancement of preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment performance and operational stability.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A current Queensland Electrical Licence.
Certificate III in Instrumentation (preferred).
Experience in fixed plant maintenance and fault diagnosis.
Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
The ability to manage your workload and deliver quality outcomes.
A focus on continuous improvement and cost-effective maintenance practices
