Industrial Electrician – Breakdown & Maintenance Specialist

About Us

Atom Resources is working with a trusted provider of industrial electrical services, delivering reliable maintenance, breakdown support, and project solutions to a diverse range of industrial clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team.

The Role

This is a hands-on position focused on industrial maintenance and fault finding within manufacturing and processing environments. The successful candidate will have strong experience responding to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and restoring production systems safely and efficiently.

Experience with instrumentation and control systems will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and rectify electrical breakdowns in industrial environments.
  • Perform fault finding on motors, drives, control systems, and production equipment.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Install, test, and commission industrial electrical equipment as required.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams and production personnel.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and site procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Electrical License.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing, processing, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure during critical equipment failures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Willing to undertake pre-employment medical.

Highly Regarded

  • Instrumentation qualification or experience.
  • Experience with PLC fault finding and industrial automation.
  • Experience with VSDs, motors, sensors, and process control systems.
  • EWP, Working at Heights, and Confined Space certifications.
