Westralia Homes is growing its construction team and looking for qualified Carpenters who takes real pride in the finished product, someone who still cares about solid workmanship and handing over a home they’d be happy to put their own name on.

This is a hands-on role working across new residential builds in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, with consistent local work, good hours and a team that genuinely values quality construction.

The job

You’ll be working across all stages of residential carpentry construction, supporting the delivery of quality new homes from frame to finish. The role includes:

• Timber frame construction, stick roof installation and 2nd fix carpentry

• Leading small crews on site and supporting apprentices through on-the-job learning

• Working alongside supervisors and trades to keep projects moving safely and efficiently

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm in Kalgoorlie-Boulder (45 hours per week).

You

You’re a qualified Carpenter with proven experience in new home construction. You know how to lead on site, maintain standards and support younger apprentices as they build confidence and capability in the trade.

You’ll bring:

• Strong experience across framing, roofing and finishing carpentry

• The ability to lead a small team and guide younger apprentices

• Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail

You’re reliable, grounded and understand that good homes are built properly long before handover day.

Relocating to WA?
Eligible interstate and New Zealand building and construction workers may be able to access the WA Government’s Build a Life in WA Incentive, offering up to $10,000 to help with relocation costs. Payments are made when you commence employment in WA and again after six months of employment, subject to meeting eligibility requirements. Carpenters are one of the key occupations supported under the program.

You’ll be paid well for your experience and capability, with hourly rates between $45–$50 per hour plus overtime, phone allowance and penalty rates depending on experience. Having your own work vehicle would be highly regarded, although company vehicles are available for site work.
