About the Role
West Coast Engineering & Welding is seeking experienced GTAW Welders and Pipefitters who are reliable, weld clean, hit spec and work safely. If you’re solid on the torch, know your way around pipe, and enjoy working with a great team – we want to talk to you.
You will be involved in a mix of workshop and site-based work supporting structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) activities across a range of industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication, fitting and installation of piping, mechanical and structural components
Carrying out welding works in accordance with approved procedures and specifications
Reading and interpreting drawings, isometrics and weld maps
Performing installation, maintenance and shutdown works on site
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Maintaining tools, equipment and housekeeping in work areas
Working collaboratively with supervisors, trades and project teams
What We’re Looking For
Trade qualified Pipefitters & 6G Welders (or demonstrated equivalent experience)
Proven experience in industrial SMP environments
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
Willingness to work across sites and adapt to project requirements
