Join our Perth workshop team as a Diesel Mechanic Leading Hand, working across a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, dollies, and heavy vehicles. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and fully operational.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and support mechanical assessments, diagnosis, and fault finding across fleet vehicles and machinery
Service and maintain trucks, trailers, dollies, and motor vehicles in line with workshop procedures and maintenance standards
Repair and replace key components including brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, and major engine components
Carry out welding and fabrication tasks, including chassis and comb rail repairs on flat-top trailers
Perform auto electrical work across 12V and 24V systems
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency
Order and replace worn or damaged parts in accordance with quality standards and manufacturer specifications

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on heavy vehicles, trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment
Proven experience in a leading hand or supervisory role within a workshop environment
Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and auto electrical work highly regarded
Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and lead others in a fast-paced workshop environment
