Allfab Constructions is based in the Illawarra and specialises in steel fabrication, infrastructure development, construction and plant maintenance for steel, mining and commercial building projects.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled, trade-qualified Welder for a permanent position within our growing workshop. You'll work on a diverse range of heavy fabrication projects for mining, construction, and infrastructure, applying advanced GMAW, FCAW and GTAW techniques to precision and structural work.

This role suits a team-oriented professional who delivers quality work independently, supports colleagues to meet project deadlines, and contributes to a positive, safety-focused workplace culture.

Skills & Experience

• Australian-recognised Trade Certificate in Boilermaking or Metal Fabrication

• 5+ years' post-trade heavy fabrication experience in mining, construction, or infrastructure

• Advanced welding proficiency in GMAW, FCAW and GTAW to AS/NZS standards

• Proven ability to work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium across heavy-gauge and precision applications

• Strong track record interpreting and fabricating from complex engineering drawings with minimal supervision

• Experience in plate work, heavy structural assemblies, and CNC applications

• Commitment to safety leadership, hazard identification and compliance with SWMS, JSA and company procedures

• Current NSW White Card and Driver's Licence

• Proficient in overhead pendant crane operation

Desirable: Working at Heights, Confined Space, Dogman/Rigger, Forklift and EWP tickets
