What We Offer

• Casual Role: DIDO outage, located at Kogan Creek Power Station in Brigalow, QLD
• Project Dates: Start datefrom mid-July, running approximately until mid-September
• Roster: Monday to Saturday | Day & Night shifts | 11-hour shifts
• Competitive Rate: Competitive EBA rates + 25% casual loading + overtime penalties (from base rate) + site allowances

The Opportunity

Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking casual Sheet Metal Workers to provide outage services at Kogen Creek Power Station in Brigalow, QLD. Starting in mid-July 2026, Downer will offer mechanical and project services throughout the outage period. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will apply your expertise in replacing or reinforcing damaged sheet metal in ducts, flues, and furnace walls. Cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal parts for temporary or permanent replacements. Installing new panels, guards, or enclosures as part of upgrade or safety compliance work, ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.

About You

• Site Proficient: Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sector
• Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills
• Workplace Safety: Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
• Qualifications: Enter and work in confined spaces (RIIWHS202E), Working at heights (RIIWHS204E) (within 2 years), Construction white card
• Trade certificate: Trade Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
