Porter Plant, a trusted leader in the Plant and Equipment Hire industry, is hiring! We’re looking for an experienced and skilled Field Service Mechanic to represent us and apply their skill assisting customers across SW Sydney to Riverina which will incur 1-2 nights overnight approximately once a month.

The Role

As a Field Service Mechanic, your day will be scheduled by a Field Service Coordinator, allowing you to work autonomously doing what you do best ... applying your craft to breakdowns and preventative maintenance of our assets.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled & unscheduled maintenance in a timely and effective manner
Perform effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment
Ability to work unsupervised
Ensure workmanship adheres to all compliance and safety regulations
Communicate with coordinators and managers regarding work status updates and delays
Be experienced in servicing of both passenger and heavy vehicles

What You’ll Need

Heavy Mechanical trade qualification (essential)
A valid car license (HR & forklift license desirable).
Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work unsupervised
