Civmec are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to drive the successful delivery in our Port Hedland Facility. This is a great opportunity to be apart of a reliable and talented crew delivering critical shutdown and maintenance work in the Pilbara region. The Role
  • Various Maintenance Shutdowns and Project works
  • Conduct fault finding for breakdowns
  • Maintain stock of hydraulic, mechanic, electronic and pneumatic materials
  • Assemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment
  • Complete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machinery
  • Conduct marking and lining out
  • Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior carrying out the task
  • Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe area. Lock them away or return to store when not required
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques
  • Housekeeping
  • Perform other general duties as required



About You
  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Blue/Yellow Medipass (desirable)
  • Construction White Card
  • Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)
  • Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
  • Additional Tickets will be highly regarded

This role is paid in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Agreement. The hourly rate commences with an all-purpose rate of $42.98 plus applicable penalties for overtime.
