Join our growing refrigeration workshop team as a Transport Refrigeration Mechanic. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team from 2 to 3 technicians and are seeking an experienced mechanic who is interested in developing new skills and working on transport refrigeration systems.

Reporting to the Refrigeration Supervisor, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of our fleet of Thermo King and Carrier trailer refrigeration units.

This role is ideal for mechanics looking to diversify their experience beyond general automotive, diesel or heavy vehicle repairs. Previous refrigeration experience is not required. Previous refrigeration experience is an advantage but is not essential.

We welcome applications from qualified tradespeople who have strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn and very good attention to detail.

On-the-job training will be provided by our experienced refrigeration technicians to develop specialist skills in transport refrigeration. Experience within the transport, fleet maintenance or logistics industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Carrying out repairs and services to transport trailer refrigeration units
Automotive electrical work including diagnosing faults, repairing sensors and general electrical maintenance.
Completing relevant diagnostic and repair documentation
Disassembling and reassembling refrigeration and mechanical systems
Transport refrigeration unit servicing and preventative maintenance
Repair and service diesel engines

Experience and qualifications:

Trade qualified Light or Heavy Vehicle background
Current driver’s license
Diesel engine experience (advantageous but not essential)
Self-motivated with a high attention to detail
Enthusiasm and a desire to take pride in your work
