About the role

Tuart Engineering Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our team on a full-time basis in our Kewdale, WA 6105 workshop. In this key role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of high-quality boiler and pressure vessel components, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer specifications.

What you'll be doing

1. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate and assemble boiler and pressure vessel components

2. Performing welding, cutting, and other metal fabrication tasks to the highest quality standards

3. Collaborating with the project team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise

4. Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

5. Providing mentorship and training to junior team members as required

What we're looking for

1. Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fabricator, with a minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience

2. Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications

3. Excellent welding skills, including experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques

4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

5. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

7. Current forklift and/or overhead crane operator's licence would be advantageous
