About the role

We're a busy steel engineering business based in Henderson looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Sandblaster to join our hardworking team. You'll be an integral part of our surface preparation operations, working across a range of industrial projects in a fast-paced environment where quality and precision matter.

Key responsibilities

• Operate blasting equipment including pressure pots and blast cabinets

• Prepare and clean metal surfaces to specified standards (SA2, SA2.5, SA3)

• Select and manage appropriate blasting media for each application

• Inspect surfaces post-blast and ensure quality control compliance

• Work safely around other trades including painters and fabricators

• Maintain and perform basic servicing of blasting equipment

• Follow all WHS procedures and site safety requirements at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven sandblasting experience in an industrial setting

• Knowledge of surface preparation standards (AS/NZS 1627)

• Strong understanding of WHS and PPE requirements

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specs

• Solid work ethic with high attention to detail

• Own reliable transport to Henderson

• Must have forklift license

• White Card (Construction Induction) — preferred

• Experience with wet blasting or vacuum blasting a bonus
