Panel Beater

SD’s Auto Painting are looking for an additional sub contractor based position of panel beater/fabricator to work in vehicle restoration business. We carry out no collision or insurance work and 95% of our builds are done from the bare metal stage right through to paint.  Vehicles generally range from 50’s through to 90’s Australian and American cars with the odd late model vehicle from time to time.

As these vehicles are our customers pride and joys you must have an eye for detail, old school panel beating and metal fabrication skills including,but not limited to, metal shrinking, rust repairs, hand forming panel sections and ideally previous experience in the restoration industry, ability to work vehicle to a high standard before hand over to painters and ability to work as a team providing input, creativeness and insight into builds to achieve the best product for our customers. You must also be trade qualified and hold current valid trade licence.

As stated this is a subcontractor position with us able to provide you as much work as needed while giving you the flexibility to work hours that suit your lifestyle. We will not ever expect or ask that you work public holidays or weekends. Pay rate to be negotiated based on experience level. Our vehicles are not built to an end time date so time is available to ensure work is done to the highest standard with no completion date pressure applied.

Office/meal room on premises with fridge, sink, kettle, air fryer, sandwich press, microwave and water dispenser available for use by staff. Tastee food truck also attends each day between 1pm to 1:30pm.
