WHAT WE OFFER

• Casual Role: DIDO outage, located at Kogan Creek Power Station in Brigalow, QLD, with potential for other project/outage work.
• Project Dates: Start date from mid-July, running approximately until September.
• Roster: Monday to Saturday, Days/Nights, 11-hour shifts.
• Competitive Rate: EBA rates + OT Penalties (from base rate) + Site Allowance.
• Other Benefits: Join a supportive team delivering Downers Kogan Creek outage. LAHA or Accommodation is provided to distant workers.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking casual Special Class Welders to provide outage services at Kogan Creek Power Station in Brigalow, QLD. Starting in mid-July, Downer will offer mechanical and project services throughout the outage period. As a Special Class Welder, you will apply your expertise in piping setup, structural and welding fabrication, and boiler casings, ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.

ABOUT YOU

• Site Proficient: Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sector
• Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills
• Workplace Safety: Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
• Qualifications: Enter and work in confined spaces (RIIWHS202E), Working at heights (RIIWHS204E) (within 2 years), Construction white card
• Trade certificate: All Welding qualifications will be required to complete an onsite weld test.
