Qualified Motor Mechanics Vehicle Technicians

As part of the Tony White Group, Trinity Auto Group is a substantial, multi-franchise Dealership, located in beautiful, tropical Cairns in North Queensland. This dynamic business has an amazing team in place and we are looking for additional experienced Automotive Technician.

We have a range of 13 new car franchises, so there is plenty of variety and opportunities to gain manufacturers’ certification.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Factory diagnostic, roadworthy and a/c licenses qualifications an advantage

• Qualified and motivated with prior servicing and repair experience in a busy workshop

• Previous dealership experience would be an advantage 

• Positive attitude and able to work autonomously

• Manual driver's license is essential

• Diagnosing and clarifying problems based on what the Customer initially describes as the symptoms and by asking relevant questions.

• Performing regular vehicle maintenance tasks - oil changes, lubrication services, brakes repairs, tyres/wheels servicing and replacement, electronic system checks and reporting – with the ability to undertake preventive maintenance recommendations to ensure that problems do not occur.

• Having strong technical knowledge to be able to explain work performed on a Customer’s vehicle and informing them on overall condition of vehicle and future repair requirements.

• Having strong practical skills, be good at problem-solving at finding faults, examining parts and associated systems to ensure that they are working accurately.

• Identifying mechanical problems of vehicles manually - through observation of sounds, smells and the behaviour of the vehicle - and/or by means of on-board diagnostics in a vehicle's computer or plug-in diagnostic systems.
