Title: Maintenance Painter - Solo position

I run JAS Painting, and we look after the maintenance painting across 12 high-rise buildings in the South Brisbane area.

This role is mostly solo work. It's high-volume production painting—think miles of main corridors and common areas. If you enjoy putting your headphones in, getting stuck into a big roll-out, and managing your own day, you will love this role. Also general maintenance in units and many other common area amenities.

We are a small business and we value family life. If you need part-time hours to work around school drop-offs, pickups, or daycare schedules, I am completely happy to accommodate that for the right person.

The Pay:

Competitive rates with the expectation of the work, speed, and reliability to match.

First 3 Months (Probation): $40/hr (Full-Time/Part-Time) or $50/hr (Casual)

After 3 Month Review : $45/hr (Full-Time/Part-Time) or $55/hr (Casual)

We will sit down at the 90-day mark to lock in that higher rate based on your production speed and attention to detail.

What We Provide: All major commercial equipment, paint, and site consumables are provided. If you are the right fit without an EWP ticket, I'll happily pay for the course to get you upskilled. Terms and conditions apply.

What You Need:

• A valid White Card and Open Driver's Licence.

• A reliable work vehicle (Ute or Van) that can safely carry gear and larger ladders between sites.

• Your own basic everyday hand tools.

• Certificate III in Painting & Decorating or equivalent trade experience exceeding 6 years.

• Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this role.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for professional, daily interaction with building managers and residential tenants.
