Wisely are on the lookout for skilled Heavy Diesel Fitters
to become part of our dedicated team at Rolleston Mine Site Heavy Maintenance workshop. If you take pride in your work, prioritise safety, and are looking to work in a

Maintenance & Repairs - Conduct component changeouts and rebuilds (engines, transmissions, final drives, etc.) in a clean, well-equipped environment
- Respond to breakdowns within the workshop and carry out efficient, safe repairs to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all repair work is performed to OEM specifications and mine site quality standards.
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a fleet of Caterpillar haul trucks (e.g., 789, 793, 785) and other heavy ancillary machinery (Dozers, Graders, Loaders and water carts).
- Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding on engines, transmissions, hydraulic and braking systems.
- Repair or replace components including engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, pumps, and undercarriage.
Safety & Compliance - Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and adhere to site-specific safety protocols and procedures.
- Complete and maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
- Actively participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety audits.
Location: - Rolleston Mine is located in QLD 125km from Emerald, 50km from Springsure, and 16km from Rolleston township.
- Camp accommodation is provided on-site with all meals included.
- Shuttle bus available – less than 10 minutes from camp to workshop.
About You: - Trade qualified – Engineering Mechanical / Diesel Fitter Certificate (Mandatory)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment (workshop, field or mine site)
- OEM experience highly regarded (especially Caterpillar)
- Strong safety focus and a team player mindset
- Physically fit – ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (or willing to obtain)
- Glencore Generic Induction (or willing to obtain)
