Allied Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable Tractor Operator & Parks Gardener for an opportunity based in the surrounding areas of Burswood and Carlisle.

Our client, a well-established local government authority located within Perth's inner south-eastern metropolitan area, is seeking an experienced candidate to join their Parks and Gardens team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining public spaces, and has experience operating tools and equipment within parks, reserves, and streetscapes.


Main responsibilities:

  • Operating tractors and associated mowing equipment

  • General park and garden maintenance

  • Mowing, edging, whipper snipping, and pruning

  • Weed control and vegetation management

  • Litter collection and removal

  • Assisting with the upkeep of reserves, streetscapes, and public facilities

  • Safe operation and maintenance of tools and equipment

  • Following workplace health and safety procedures


What We’re Looking For:

  • Current MR Driver's Licence

  • Previous tractor operating experience, including mowing applications

  • Practical horticultural or parks maintenance experience

  • Experience undertaking general gardening duties


Highly preferred but not required:

  • Chainsaw ticket

  • Chemical application certification, particularly glyphosate application
