About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Baker/Bakers Assistant to join the team at Bake bakery in Coromandel Valley SA 5051.

We have two positions available. One full time role and one casual role, offering an exciting opportunity to develop your baking skills in a dynamic, professional kitchen environment. Whether you are an experienced baker looking to advance your career or an enthusiastic assistant eager to learn the craft, this role will allow you to contribute to creating high-quality baked goods. You will work as part of a dedicated team committed to excellence, quality, and innovation in baking.

Key responsibilities

1. Preparing, mixing, and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods

2. Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all baked products

3. Managing production schedules and ensuring products are prepared and ready for sale on time

4. Decorating and finishing baked goods

5. Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the bakery kitchen

6. Following food safety regulations and health and safety procedures at all times

7. Supporting senior bakers and taking direction on new techniques and recipes

8. Assisting with stock rotation

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a baker or bakers assistant, or demonstrated passion for baking and willingness to learn

2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standard

3. Ability to work early morning shifts

4. Excellent time management and organisational skills

5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

6. Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude

7. Physical capability to lift, carry, and work with heavy ingredients and equipment
