Tyre Fitter Leading Hand (DIDO ex Perth)

We are currently seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter Leading Hand to join our team in Bruce Rock. This role is based in Bruce Rock and is offered as DIDO from Perth or for candidates already local to the area.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our tyre fitting team while actively performing tyre fitting duties across cars, trucks, and trailers.

This role is ideal for someone with strong tyre fitting experience who enjoys leading a team, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the tyre fitting team
  • Allocate work and monitor daily workflow and team performance
  • Conduct probation, annual, and ad hoc performance reviews
  • Repair, replace, fit, and perform changeovers on a range of vehicle tyres
  • Carry out tyre diagnostics including pressure, tread depth, and condition checks
  • Check and adjust wheel balance, alignment, rotation, and inflation
  • Prepare quotes and invoices and manage tyre-related paperwork
  • Maintain stock control, including forecasting and ordering
  • Coordinate internal and external tyre work, including site transfers
  • Work collaboratively across tyres, manufacturing, and service teams
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the workshop

About You

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team
  • Strong hands-on tyre fitting experience across heavy vehicles
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Highly Regarded

  • Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (Heavy Vehicle)
  • Experience in Heavy Duty Road Transport manufacturing (trucks & trailers)
  • Experience with Kenworth, Volvo trucks, or Cummins engines
  • HR Licence
  • LF Forklift Licence
