Since 2013, we’ve successfully delivered major projects for Tier 1 clients across WA and are continuing our strong growth into 2026 with the ongoing ramp-up of our Covalent Lithium Project at Mt Holland.

As part of this ramp-up, IMC is significantly expanding its workforce, fleet, and maintenance capability on site. With multiple crews and panels increasing in size, we are now recruiting multiple Leading Hand Fitters across both Heavy Diesel (HD) and Drill maintenance.

This is a unique opportunity to join a long-term project during a key growth phase, where you will play a critical role in supporting production, developing teams, and driving maintenance performance.

About the Roles

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Leading Hand Fitters with a strong background working on CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi mining equipment, as well as individuals with specialised experience or a keen interest in Sandvik and Epiroc drill rigs, to join our mining production team at Mt Holland.

In these roles, you will provide hands-on leadership across expanding crews, coordinating daily maintenance activities while fostering a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.

These positions are offered on a FIFO basis from Perth, operating on a 2:1 roster with rotating day and night shifts.

Your Focus in This Role

Provide strong frontline leadership and technical guidance to fitters and contractors
Support the ramping production environment, ensuring maintenance aligns with increasing fleet demands
Allocate and coordinate daily maintenance tasks across workshop and field teams
Drive safe work practices, risk assessments, and compliance with site procedures
Lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and breakdown response
Monitor team performance, capability, and productivity
Maintain accurate work management, reporting, and documentation
Ensure high standards of quality, efficiency, and cost control

What You’ll Bring

Mechanical trade qualification with proven Leading Hand experience in mining maintenance
Strong background across mobile plant and/or drill fleets (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Sandvik, Epiroc)
Skilled in diagnostics, fault finding, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance
Solid knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and basic electrical systems
Experience leading crews, allocating work, and driving uptime in a production environment
Capable across field service and workshop operations
WA Schedule 26 is highly desirable
Strong safety focus with working knowledge of risk assessments, isolations and WA mining regulations
Familiar with maintenance systems (Pronto preferred)
Current driver’s licence and able to pass medical, DAS, and police checks
