Trade Assistant

We are seeking a Trade Assistant for our client in Smeaton Grange.  This is a hands-on role where you will be supporting tradespeople and production staff with a variety of day-to-day tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across the workshop, assisting with general labouring, assembly, and maintaining a safe and organised worksite.

Key Responsibilities

• Support tradespeople and production staff with daily operations
• Assist with assembly, manufacturing, and order preparation
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces
• Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions
• Load/unload goods and move materials around site

Duties

• Use hand and power tools for basic tasks
• General labouring, cleaning, and site setup/pack-down
• Assist with machine operation (under supervision)
• Picking, packing, and stock handling
• Basic quality checks and production assistance

Experience

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or trade assistant role preferred
• Experience with tools, assembly, or labouring highly regarded
• Exposure to fast-paced environments beneficial

Qualifications

• Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• No formal trade qualification required
