Parts Interpreter | Suspension & 4WD

Wilkinson Suspension Centre is seeking an experienced Automotive Suspension Parts Interpreter to join our family-owned business in Bayswater.
This full-time position is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive parts sales who enjoys helping customers find the right suspension solutions. Working with both retail and trade customers, you'll combine technical product knowledge with exceptional customer service to drive sales and support workshop operations.

About the Role

As a key member of the parts sales team, you play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. Your ability to accurately identify, source, and supply parts has a direct impact on workshop productivity and customer satisfaction. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships with our retail and trade customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify vehicle applications and ensure parts compatibility using catalogues, supplier resources, and industry software.

• Assist retail and trade customers with suspension upgrades, replacement parts, and general maintenance requirements.

• Support trade customers with technical product advice and fitment information

• Process quotes, sales invoices, purchase orders, and customer payments accurately and efficiently.

• Source parts from local and interstate to meet customer requirements and delivery expectations.

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions in a professional and timely manner.

• Create workshop bookings using the scheduling software

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years previous experience in a similar role

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical product information

• Accuracy of parts interpretation and fitment advice.

Hours

Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

In this role, you will work closely with the sales team and report directly to the Sales Manager and business owners.

Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience and skills.
