About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and self-motivated Sales Development Manager - Trade based in Bundaberg to lead and grow Penrite’s presence across Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, and Maryborough in the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland.
This hybrid, field-based role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse customer base across trade, retail, agricultural, and industrial sectors that are central to this region’s economy.
You will take ownership of building strong local relationships, drive sales growth, and expanding our market footprint - backed by a trusted Australian brand and the support of a dedicated national sales team.
Reporting directly to the Regional Trade Sales Manager, this role is ideal for a results-driven professional who works well independently and excels at identifying and developing regional business opportunities in a dynamic and competitive market like Wide Bay–Burnett.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to trade and retail customers
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships across your territory
Proactively identify new business opportunities through fieldwork and local knowledge
Attend trade events, expos, and regional customer meetings to promote Penrite products
Provide timely reporting on territory performance and customer feedback
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent service and supply
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience in territory or regional sales (automotive or trade-related preferred)
Prior tenure with a major oil brand or a reseller/distributor of a major oil and lubricant company
Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and grow market share
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously across a wide rural area
Full Australian work rights and current driver’s licence
