About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and self-motivated Sales Development Manager to lead and grow Penrite’s presence across the Ballarat and surrounding areas in Regional Victoria including but not limited to Arrarat and Horsham. The ideal person resides in Ballarat. This hybrid, field-based role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse customer base across trade, retail, transport, mining and industrial sectors unique to this region.
You will take ownership of building strong local relationships, drive sales growth, and expanding our market footprint - supported by a trusted Australian brand and a dedicated national sales team.
Reporting directly to the Zone Manager, this role suits a results-driven professional who thrives working independently and is skilled at developing regional business opportunities in a dynamic and evolving market like Ballarat and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:
Build and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue goals and grow Penrite’s market share
Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with trade and commercial customers
Identify new business opportunities through regular field visits, local market knowledge, and competitor analysis
Represent Penrite at key industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Deliver regular sales performance updates, pipeline reports, and market feedback to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in territory or regional sales management (automotive, industrial, or trade-related sectors preferred)
Prior tenure with a major oil brand or a reseller/distributor of a major oil and lubricant company
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets through effective business development strategies
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently across a wide geographical area
A proactive leader who enjoys building relationships and delivering value on the ground
Must have the legal right to work in Australia
