Position: Casual
Location: Coburg North
Hours: Monday to Friday
Shift Times: Monday 10:00am – 6:00pm | Tuesday to Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Reports To: Head Baker
Wonder Pies, founded by renowned Melbourne Chef Raymond Capaldi, is known for its handcrafted deep-pan pies, gourmet baked goods, and premium pastries. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Oven Baker to join our production team in Coburg North.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food production environment and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality results. You will be responsible for baking pies and pastries according to production schedules, monitoring product quality, and ensuring all products meet Wonder Pies’ standards for appearance, consistency, and food safety.
Bake pies and other products according to production schedules and baking specifications
Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality throughout the baking process
Transfer baked products to cooling and blast chilling areas as required
Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
Complete production records and HACCP documentation accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times
Work closely with production and packing teams to ensure smooth workflow and production targets are achieved
Previous experience in baking, bakery operations, or food production (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Availability to work the listed weekday shifts
