Security Officer - Contract Credentialling

Job Impact

We are seeking professional, customer-focused Security Officers – ID Services to support a secure operating environment through physical security, access control, surveillance, incident response and compliant credentialing processes. In this role, you’ll help protect people, assets and facilities while ensuring the secure issuance, management and control of staff identification credentials.

As a Security Officer – ID Services, you’ll deliver a combination of frontline security and identification support in a compliance-driven environment. The role includes monitoring site activity, controlling access, responding to incidents and operating ID service points to issue, replace, modify and deactivate staff credentials in line with client security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical security controls in accordance with approved SOPs, including patrols, alarm response, lock-up and security checks.
• Monitor and operate CCTV, alarms, fire/security panels and surveillance systems, and respond to suspicious activity or incidents.
• Control site access and manage access cards, passes, keys, permissions and access logs.
• Issue, manage and control staff identification credentials, including onboarding, role changes, replacements and deactivation of credentials.
• Verify identity before issuing or modifying credentials and maintain accurate records, audit logs and compliance documentation.
• Manage lost, stolen or damaged ID cards and escalate discrepancies, anomalies or suspected misuse.
• Deliver professional customer-facing ID services while maintaining strict adherence to security and information protection requirements.
• Support emergency response, visitor management, contractor escorting and goods control where required.
• Complete all reports, logs and documentation accurately and participate in training and continuous improvement activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong customer service skills, sound judgment, attention to detail and the ability to work confidently within a procedural and compliance-led environment. You’ll be comfortable balancing frontline stakeholder interaction with accurate record keeping, secure systems use and credential management responsibilities.

Must have:

• Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding).
• Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity).
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping capability.
• Experience working with access control systems and/or credential management processes.
• Intermediate PC skills across MS Suite and strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to operate effectively in a compliance-driven environment.
