About the role

Eastmanglass is seeking an experienced TIG Welder Fabricator/Installer to join our team in Brookvale, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse welding and fabrication projects, combining technical expertise with hands-on installation work. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and assemblies, as well assisting in various other installations of glass/steel/stainless steel products. This position is integral to our operations, ensuring that we maintain our reputation for high quality.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate TIG welding equipment to fabricate metal components and assemblies to specification

2. Prepare materials, including cutting, grinding and fitting components prior to welding

3. Install and fit welded assemblies and finished products at customer sites or in workshop.

4. Assist in some glass installation works.

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a TIG welder

2. ability to read and interpret drawings.

3. Knowledge of welding techniques, materials and quality standards relevant to the trades

4. Experience with metal fabrication processes including cutting, grinding and assembly

5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

6. Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions and environments.

7. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

8. Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work.

9. Suit younger person willing to learn and do various tasks required in a small business.
