The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Electrician who is interested in building a career specialising in hybrid and renewable temporary power systems.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced hybrid energy technology while working alongside industry-leading suppliers and major infrastructure projects.
Location: Melbourne (with initial paid Technical Development Program in Brisbane/Gold Coast)
Paid Technical Development Program – Brisbane/Gold Coast
The successful candidate will commence with a ~6 month paid Technical Development Program in Brisbane, working within one of our key supplier workshops manufacturing and assembling hybrid power systems and associated equipment.
The structure and duration of the program can be tailored to suit the successful applicant’s experience, availability, and current commitments. Flexible arrangements and negotiated conditions are available for the right candidate.

Ongoing Role – Electrician (Melbourne Based)
Following the Technical Development Program, the successful applicant will transition into a permanent Electrician role based in Melbourne.
This is a hybrid role combining site-based work with technical planning and administrative responsibilities. The role offers strong career growth opportunities within the renewable and temporary power sector.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections, client meetings and quotes for power assessments
Plan electrical installations, switchboards, protection systems, and power distribution layouts for hybrid energy systems.
Complete electrical testing, commissioning, and fault-finding activities across hybrid power systems including generators, BESS, mains power, solar and control systems.
Coordinate and supervise electrical installation works with site teams.
Schedule and undertake routine maintenance activities
Respond to breakdowns and maintenance call-outs as required
Technical Development Program Responsibilities
During the Technical Development Program, responsibilities will include:
Wiring generators and hybrid power systems
Assisting with assembly of electrical control systems
Performing factory acceptance testing (FAT) and functional testing
Attending site installations and maintenance works as required
Supporting commissioning and troubleshooting activities
Learning renewable integration and hybrid power control strategies
Assisting senior technicians and engineers with project delivery
Minimum Requirements
A Grade Electrical Licence
Construction White Card
Current Driver’s Licence
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Desired Experience
Construction, industrial, or infrastructure industry experience (min 2 years)
Knowledge of generators and temporary power systems
Experience working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Renewable energy or solar experience
Fault-finding and diagnostics across electrical control systems
Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics
PLC or control systems exposure (highly regarded)
