About the role
Professional Bricklaying SA Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join our team in Perth, WA 6000. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse building projects across the Perth region. As a Bricklayer, you will play a crucial role in constructing and repairing brick and masonry structures, contributing directly to the quality and integrity of our completed projects. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the building trades industry.
What you'll be doing
Laying bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials to construct and repair walls, arches, chimneys and other structures
Reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications to ensure accurate placement and alignment of materials
Mixing mortar and preparing work surfaces to appropriate standards
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively, including trowels, levels, hammers and cutting equipment
Maintaining accurate measurements and ensuring structures are plumb, level and properly aligned
Inspecting completed work to identify defects and make necessary corrections
Following health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised work site
Collaborating with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
What we're looking for
A valid bricklaying qualification or apprenticeship completion recognised in Western Australia
Minimum 3-5 years' practical experience as a qualified Bricklayer
Proficiency in reading architectural plans and technical drawings
Strong knowledge of masonry materials, bonding techniques and construction methods
Competency with hand and power tools commonly used in bricklaying
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Current First Aid certification
Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) or ability to obtain one
A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Reliable, professional and team-oriented approach to work
Preferably, experience with commercial and residential construction projects
