About the role

Ranbuild: Sheds & Garages Mackay is seeking a reliable and hardworking Shed Labourer to join our team in Mackay, QLD. This is a full-time casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to the construction and assembly of quality sheds and garages. You will play a vital role in supporting our skilled tradespeople and ensuring projects are completed to the high standards our customers expect. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in their contribution to building quality structures.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting with the preparation and organisation of work sites, including clearing debris and maintaining a safe working environment

2. Supporting the assembly and construction of sheds and garages under the direction of experienced tradespeople

3. Handling and transporting materials, tools and equipment safely and efficiently

4. Performing basic construction tasks as directed, including cutting, fitting and securing materials

5. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies on site

6. Assisting with site cleanup and restoration once projects are complete

7. Supporting the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a labourer in construction, carpentry or a related trades environment is advantageous but not essential

2. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills

3. The ability to follow instructions and work safely under supervision

4. Good physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour tasks

5. Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship

6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills

7. A valid driver's licence and reliable transport

8. A positive attitude and reliability in attendance
