DMS is a fast-growing heavy-diesel mechanical business supporting workshops across East Arnhem Land, mining operations, and remote communities. We've expanded our Darwin operations and need a reliable, organised Parts & Logistics Administrator to keep freight, parts and job flow running smoothly to our Gove and remote community operations alongside our remote Supervisor.

About the Role

Based out of Winnellie, you'll be the go-to person for collecting parts around Darwin, raising purchase orders, preparing freight to Gove/Remote communities, and opening new jobs in MechanicDesk. You'll work closely with our Remote Operations Supervisor to make sure parts and freight are where they need to be, when they need to be there.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Supervisor with general administrative tasks.

• Source and order mechanical parts efficiently from suppliers.

• Quote and order components for confirmed customer jobs.

• Track and verify incoming parts deliveries against dockets.

• Label and sort received stock accurately by job number.

• Pick up parts directly from local suppliers as required.

• Wrap pallets and pack outbound freight securely.

• Book freight services and deliver parts to distributors.

• Operate a forklift safely to load and unload heavy freight

What We're Looking For

• Must be able to confidently drive manual Ute.

• Must hold a full driver's licence for vehicle operation responsibilities.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and confidence dealing with suppliers

• Ability to manage a fast-moving workload without dropping the ball

• Basic computer skills (MechanicDesk training provided)

• A reliable team player who prides themselves on getting things done

• Comfortable running around town in a company vehicle

• A current forklift licence is preferred, or you must be willing to obtain one prior to commencing the role.

Mechanical or parts knowledge is a bonus, but not essential — attitude and reliability are what matter most.
