About Our Client
WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Suppression Technician for an ongoing position with a valued client based in Mackay. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of commercial, mining and industrial sites, carrying out the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire suppression systems.

What You Will Be Doing
Service, inspect, and maintain portable fire equipment; including extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels.
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and compliance inspections
Carry out repairs, component replacements, and system testing
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and site procedures
Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
What You Will Need
Previous experience working on portable fire systems, preferably within the mining industry
Hold a current QBCC Licence
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Ability to work autonomously in a field service environment
Current Driver's Licence
White Card (or equivalent)
Ability to pass mine site medicals and drug & alcohol testing requirements
