Structural Steel Rigger Boilermaker

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Rigger or Rigger/Boilermaker to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Steel Rigger, you will play a critical role in safely and efficiently rigging and moving heavy structural steel components, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. If you have a strong background in rigging for structural steel projects, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you! 

Responsibilities: 

• Safely and efficiently install structural steel

• Inspect rigging equipment specific to structural steel rigging, such as spreader bars, lifting lugs, and beam clamps, to ensure they are in good working condition. 

• Collaborate with crane operators, dogman, boilermakers, and team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during structural steel rigging operations. 

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards specific to rigging for structural steel. 

• Assist in the setup and dismantling of rigging systems for structural steel projects according to project plans and instructions. 

Requirements: 

• Riggers Ticket (RB, RI or RA), Dogman Ticket (DG), High Risk Work Licence (HRW), Forklift Licence (LF), Scissor Lift Licence (SL), EWP under 11m Licence (WP), EWP over 11m Licence (WP).

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Rigger, with a strong knowledge of rigging techniques and equipment specific to structural steel projects. 

• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards related to rigging for structural steel. 

• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with crane operators, boilermakers, and other team members involved in structural steel projects. 

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow project plans and instructions specific to rigging for structural steel. 

• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy structural steel components and work in physically demanding environments. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards specific to rigging for structural steel. 

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
