With a strong project pipeline and continued growth across Regional NSW, Australia and beyond, AWCON is seeking experienced Boilermakers to support the delivery of our expanding portfolio of mining, civil, infrastructure and energy projects.
As a Boilermaker with AWCON, you will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of structural steel, fixed plant, piping systems and associated equipment across a variety of mining, energy, civil and industrial environments.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications
Fabricate, assemble and install metal components and structures
Perform welding activities in accordance with industry standards and site requirements
Conduct repairs and maintenance on plant, equipment and structural assets
Identify defects and implement appropriate repair solutions
Operate hand tools, power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with supervisors, tradespeople and project teams to achieve project outcomes
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
Comply with all site safety, quality and environmental requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Completion of a recognised Boilermaking apprenticeship or equivalent formal training
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Construction Industry White Card
Demonstrated experience as a Boilermaker within mining, construction, maintenance, manufacturing or heavy industry environments
Strong welding, fabrication and metalwork skills
Proficiency in the use of welding equipment, hand tools and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Proven commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
